# Lolly Demo motion

Read the Lolly Demo brand standards first. This skill covers anything that moves or plays sound.

## Timing

- Most moves take 200 to 400 milliseconds. A whole-screen change takes up to 600.
- Hold every title long enough to read twice: about one second for every four words, and never under two seconds.
- One thing moves at a time. Stagger a list by 60 to 100 milliseconds per item.

## Easing

- Ease out when something arrives and ease in when it leaves. Avoid linear moves except for continuous loops.
- No bounce on text. A small overshoot is fine on the logo's swirl, once.

## Transitions

- Cuts and short cross-fades. Slides and pushes follow reading direction.
- No spins, flips or zooms through the frame.

## Kinetic type

- Text animates by line or by word, never by letter.
- Type keeps its size and weight while it moves. Scale the frame, not the type.

## The logo in motion

- The mark appears once, at the start or the end, and settles still. Never loop it in a corner.
- Use [the horizontal lockup](https://lolly.tools/brand/lolly-demo/catalog/assets/lolly/logo/horizontal.svg) on light frames and [the reverse lockup](https://lolly.tools/brand/lolly-demo/catalog/assets/lolly/logo/horizontal.svg-reverse) on dark frames.

## Sound

- Use the catalog loops and songs, so every track has a recorded licence.
- Duck music under speech. Speech always wins.
- Cut to the beat for a hype piece, never for an explainer.

## Accessibility

- Respect reduced motion: offer a still version, or fades in place of moves.
- Nothing flashes more than three times a second.
- Caption every word of speech.
